LOOK!!! VOTE HERE, NOW!!! RIAA Vs. Soulseek 129990_widget

if that shows up, go to it and VOTE!!! All Shall Perish posted a myspace bulletin that reads:

[size=9]All shall Perish believe music should be FREE. If you
like a band, of course you should show your support.. buy a CD, go to a
show! But no one should be punished like that woman in the news is
being punished. She is a single mother being charged $220,000 for
downloading and sharing music. THAT IS bull****.

Please add this code to your myspace page, and lets show the RIAA that music sharing is here to STAY!!!

add this voting banner to your page, or click this ****, and vote yourself.

ITS IMPORTANT THAT WE STAND UP TO THIS bull****. THANKS!

    ALL SHALL PERISH

Downloading music is a worldwide problem, I don't see why they're striking down individuals for a problem as big as this.

It's not about soulseek. it's about music downloading in general! I don't get the cracking down on individuals either. I guess it's to scare the rest of us off. All Shall Perish's view was very good. MUSIC SHOULD BE FREE!!!

Bands still need to be able to make money though, and selling their music is an important source.

Bands like Radiohead that believe consumers should have to download the whole album, not individual songs, because people have different tastes, deserve to have their stuff pirated. It's the consumers choice.

If you want; to support this woman I'd of though raising money through clicking on ads would be the logical choice, as she needs the money.

Yeah what I think they're trying to do is use her as an example to show what they can do and to scare us away from downloading but it looks like it's backfired.

lol, thanks for adding to the list. i saw on the news that some bands are putting they're music online with an honor system set up. make a donation of any amount (if any amount) and download the song. totally legit. pretty sweet. i hope lot's of bands set it up like this :-)

Yeah, Radiohead and NIN are both letting the buyers decide how much to pay for their music. They're not even using a record label. Prices are ranging from $.99 to $1,200 for the entire album. It's really a great idea.

I heared you could get Radiohead's new album for free if that's the price you set for it.
