They are more of a techno influnenced rock sound. They were fairly popular in the early 90s more so in England. The song most people have heard by them is Personal Jesus but the whole Violator album is amazing. I highly reccomend them if you are into a more industrial techno sound but not so much if you're just looking for a straight forward rock band.

Yeah his cover is pretty bad. Johnny Cash also covered it and it was better than Manson's but he didn't do that great of a job either. Cash can do better than what he did with that song.
