Blaqk Audio: Techno
Creativity: the ability to
transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the
like, and to create meaningful newideas, forms, methods,
interpretations, etc.
Techno: Any of various styles of dance music characterized by electronic sounds and a high-energy, rhythmic beat.
Both
of these things are thought of when listening to this band. Blaqk Audio
is a new group with vocals sang into the microphone by Davey Havok and
a very upbeat rhythm pushed through to the speakers by Jade Puget.
These two have been in the music business together ever since high
school. Originally being from the band AFI (A Fire Inside), Havok and
Puget are well known throughout the rock world. Although AFI is still
their main focus, Havok and Puget have been working on their
side-project, Blaqk Audio, since 2001-2002. Others who lended their
voices for the album included long-time friend Nick 13 from Tiger Army
and DanUnder from The Dear and Departed. Debuting at #18 on Billboard's
Top200, the album, titled “CexCells”and released August 14th 2007, is
created entirely out of Havok and Puget’s love for music. Puget says to
Alternative Press, “The two of us love so many things, we figured, why
limit ourselves? This record is really our whole history with
electronic music.” Both Havok and Puget find Blaqk Audio a release,
allowing them to express themselves in a way that they never had
before, lyrically and musically.
