    Moshing Empty Moshing

What is you guys' favorite moshing technique? I think they are all good, and being innovative is good too. I love to mosh myself, the way it was originally intended. I like the pushing and shoving and being dominant, with no intent to hurt anyone. All the people swinging around and kicking and punching pisses me off. It ruins the pit.

Don't mosh, seen it many a time and sometimes, in some concerts it looks quite good fun, but the ones your talking about I'd rather find a seat / place to stand and watch from above.

Yeah, people like that ruin Mosh Pits in my opinion. It's fun to hit eachother properly, but when it turns into an all out fight, it sucks.

Yep, I agree, when it gets really violent, it's no fun.

i dont like them, i dont mind jumping but thats as far as i go. i have been kicked in the face and someone nearly broke my neck when crowd surfing. if you crowd surf near me, i'll just move out the way :p

As for the moshing, ive been trampled in one so i dont go in the anymore, plus they frighten me, and it spoils the gig for me

Yeah, pogo-ing is wicked fun. As for being trampled, that's what happens if you can't stay up man! You gotta fight for survival in those things, that's half the fun! On the other hand, if you do see someone else fall down, help them up, it's only etiquitte and it will make the pit better, less tripping over fallen casualties, if you will.

hey dude you dont know the situation.

the band had to be stopped, all the barriers broke at the front 2 people were seriously injured quite a few people were seriously shaken up. System of A Down had to cut theyre set way short and Metallica too. because the twats at the back of me would NOT move back.

It was basicly like a wall. there was a load of us taking small steps back at a time. then you just hit this wall of people. there was no room to turn around and move back i just had to feel with my feet and look over my shoulder. Then you had people at the front terrified and rushing to get out. I tripped over the ****ing arsehole behind mes foot. and went flying backwards. NO-ONE helped me up. and some saw me.

that wasnt the wrost part. that came when people at the front where pushing and shoving to get out. it was like a wave of people frantic to get outta this big ol' pit. i just got trampled on, seemed like i was down there for ages. I heard mum shouting my name that was about it. Id seriously hurt my back and bruised **** loads of ribs. It was the scareist thing i have ever been in.

We were up the front all day from 11 am, that happened about 8 pm. i was gutted because we ended up right at the back. I will never go back to Leeds Festival again after that happened

That sounds like a horrible experience, I wouldn't go back to that either if that happened to me.

Yeah that seems pretty terrifying. I actually couldn't imagine so many people that you literally couldn't stand, but I imagine it would be scary as hell.

Oh man, the sooned you get into them the sooner you have a ton of fun man. Trust me, it's totally worth it, mosh pits are amazing. That is, if you are ballsy enough to dive in. Oh, and Spishnittle, put some meat on those bones and get in there! You are missing out!
